I'm sure you've seen infomercials or "influencers" performing an exercise because it supposedly burns fat from your waist or under your arm.
This couldn't be further from the truth.
Working out can reduce your overall body fat, but you can't control where that fat comes from.
If all you did were leg exercises because you wanted to lose fat around your thighs, then you would not only lose fat around your thighs but also from your midsection and even arms.
Again, fat loss happens everywhere when the conditions are right.
The next time you hear a "fitness guru" say that their ab machine can target your belly fat by doing crunches, you need to remember that this is simply a marketing strategy with no scientific basis.
