Most of the clients I work with are interested in weight loss, which can be tricky.
Some people are able to lose weight rather easily, while other people struggle for months or even years just to shed a few pounds.
There are so many factors involved with weight loss that it's hard to pinpoint why some people are successful and others aren't.
The one piece of advice that I can give you that works well for everyone is to get 1% better each day.
Think of your health as your retirement fund.
When you contribute a little bit to it each week or month your money compounds and over time you see it grow.
You can apply the same logic to your health. When you do something good each day over a long period of time, you see results.
You may not see results at the end of the day or end of the week, but over time your positive actions compound for great results.
Conversely, we can also detract from our health fun by taking negative actions each day. If you skip your workout or eat unhealthy foods, over time you will gain weight and feel lousy.
You may not feel any different at the end of the day or week, but by year's end you will have gained weight.
So, focus on getting 1% better today and do something small yet positive for your health and then repeat the next day.
