How To Strengthen Your Core Using Kettlebells

In this video I will show you how to strengthen your core with 2 kettlebell exercises.

1. Why you should use a kettlebell to strengthen your core
2. What people usually do wrong
3. How to do it right

Learning how to train with a kettlebell will take your core strength to the next level.  Simply learning the basics of breathing and tension will teach you how to engage your core with every kettlebell exercise.

You can take your core strength to the next level by learning how to properly do the Russian Twist and Bottom Up.  You will feel both of these exercises immediately!

The Russian Twist is great for working your rotational muscles, the obliques.  This exercise should be done slowly at first with an emphasis on maintaining great posture and not rounding your back.

People often make the mistake of reaching with their arms, which takes the emphasis away from your core.  Make sure to keep the kettlebell in the center of your body as you rotate from side to side.  This will ensure your core stays engaged with every rep.

You can increase the difficulty of this exercise by lifting your feet off the ground.  Again, start slow.

The Bottom Up position is an awesome exercise that requires a great deal of strength and coordination.  Not only will this exercise strengthen your core, but it will also strengthen your grip.

Once you've mastered the basic position you can start walking around, pressing and squatting with the kettlebell in the bottom up position.  Do all of these movements slowly and purposefully.

Add these great exercises to your workouts and I guarantee you will immediately feel them working your core.
