The Best Fat Burning Exercise - The Kettlebell Swing Part 3 - The Dead Stop Swing

The dead stop swing or power swing is an important step to mastering the traditional kettlebell swing.  Although this is a progression to the standard kettlebell swing, it still serves as an excellent stand alone exercise.  It requires tremendous power because you are starting from a dead start and it will really elevate your heart rate even after just a few reps.  Make sure to fully extend at the top of the swing by forcefully contracting your glutes and quads and don't allow your arms to go over your head as this can put tension in your neck.  Instead, project the energy of the kettlebell forward and keep your arms parallel to the ground.  Finally, make sure to fully stop between each rep and reset before you start your next swing.
