The kettlebell Goblet Squat is a great exercise for improving hip mobility and lower body strength.  In order to perform more challenging exercises such as Front Squats, you should ideally master the Goblet Squat first.  Make sure to perform the movement slowly and under control as rushing this movement could lead to injury.  Also, pay close attention to your elbows and knees while performing this movement.  Keep your elbows pointed straight down and bring them to the tip of your inner thigh if possible.  Pry your knees open while squatting up and down as this will allow you to sit deeper into your Goblet Squat and it will keep the pressure off of your knees.
