The kettlebell goblet squat is a phenomenal exercise for strengthening the lower body and improving flexibility. In order to start the goblet squat we must first learn how to properly pick up the kettlebell. Enter the dead clean. This movement is meant to be done explosively in order to get the bell in the right position in front of your chest. Once you've secured the bell in the proper position you are ready to squat. Make sure to keep the bell off of your body as this may lead to unnecessary pressure on your lower back and a loss of core engagement.
